Start. Today.

Or starting, you’re not

The games we play

With ourselves, in our minds

Is simply because

We’re of a weak kind

But acknowledging that trait

Is a pretty good thing

For there is growth that that knowing

Can come forth – can bring

Does it make it easier?

No, it surely does not

But maybe it helps

When facing a lot

And that’s where I am

Trying today, trying tomorrow

And maybe I fail

But that brings me no sorrow

For life’s to be lived

And to myself I’ll show grace

For slow may it be, remember –

The tortoise wins the race!
